Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has announced an exclusive worldwide administration agreement with Brazilian executive and creator Konrad Dantas and his entertainment company, KondZilla, Billboard can exclusively reveal today (Aug. 30).

Known for bringing Brazilian funk music into mainstream culture, KondZilla’s holdings include KondZilla Films (music video production), KondZilla Records (label and publishing), KondZilla Licensing and KondZilla.com (lifestyle content website).

The company’s catalog spans nearly 600 titles across more than 50 artists, including hits such as “O Grave Bater”, “Encaixa” and “Rabiola” by MC Kevinho, “Oh quem voltou” by Dani Russo, and “Pega a Receita” by MC Dede & MC Kevinho, to name a few.

"Konrad Dantas is a true force of nature," Marcelo Falcão, managing director of UMPG Brazil, said in a statement. "His passion and commitment to his dream were much bigger than the difficult circumstances he was born and raised in, and he has since created an empire that shared Brazilian funk music throughout the world."

Dantas added: "I'm very happy to be part of the UMPG family, one of the world’s leading music publishing companies that will certainly contribute to KondZilla’s Publishing growth in the world."

With over 51 million subscribers, the KondZilla YouTube channel, which launched in 2012, is a popular reference in Brazilian visual productions, advertising, and music. The channel is home to the international hit "Bum Bum Tam Tam" by MC Fioti, which is the only Brazilian music video with over 1.3 billion views.
