Warner Chappell Music has entered an exclusive worldwide publishing deal to administer the catalog of Stone Temple Pilots members Robert DeLeo, Dean DeLeo, and Eric Kretz.

The '90s rockers have sold 40 million records worldwide, and more than 13.5 million albums in the U.S. alone. They've also landed 18 top 10 hits on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart, including such smashes as "Interstate Love Song," "Plush" and "Vasoline," all No. 1s.

“Stone Temple Pilots helped to define a distinct rock sound of a decade through their incredible songwriting and eclectic performances, and we’re thrilled to be bringing their catalog back to Warner Chappell Music," commented the publishing company's senior vp, A&R, U.S. Greg Sowders. “Their work has left an impact on American culture that continues to resonate today.”

Added Warner Chappell Music president of A&R, U.S., Ryan Press: “There’s no overstating the role Stone Temple Pilots played in developing the landmark sound of their era. But it’s the quality of their songwriting perhaps more than anything that has stood the test of time.”

The news follows a string of recent signings at Warner Chappell Music, including Lizzo and Dominican singer-songwriter Vicente Garcia to the company's Columbia division.

“The support of Greg, Ryan and the whole team at Warner Chappell means so much to us,” said the three STP band members. “We’re very excited about the future of this creative collaboration.”

The DeLeo brothers, Kretz and frontman Scott Weiland were previously signed to Universal Music Publishing Group in 2010. Weiland passed away in 2015.
