Gary Numan to Perform at Debut Two-Day Substance Event in Los Angeles

Promoters Spaceland Presents and Restless Nites have announced Substance, a two-night event featuring electronic, post-punk and darkwave acts, running Nov. 1-2 at Los Angeles Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. 

Synth luminary Gary Numan will headline the first night of Substance on Friday, Nov. 1, with a set celebrating 40 years of his career. He will be joined by Adult, Xeno & Oaklander and Kanga.

”In September 1979 I began my first ever tour around the UK. I’ll be celebrating the 40 years of life, career and touring that have unfolded since then this Sep/Oct with the (R)evolution Tour,” said Numan in a statement.

Headlining Substance's second night on Saturday, Nov. 2, will be veteran electropop performer John Maus.

Substance will also feature additional sets from Boy Harsher, Black Marble, A Place to Bury Strangers, Lust For Youth, HTRK, Crack Cloud, Psyche, Ritual Howls, Odonis Odonis, Klack, Kontravoid, Void Vision, Miserable and Second Still.
