Live Nation has launched Electronic Nation, a new electronic music-focused division in the U.K. Led by Scott Barton, managing director of LN's Cream, Electronic Nation will be based in London and focus on expanding the company's festival, tours and club offerings across the U.K.

At Cream, Barton handles the popular Creamfields festival in Daresbury, a four-day event active since 1998, along with the unique and portable 15,000-capacity festival super structure known as Steel Yard, which made its debut in Liverpool three years ago. Cream is also responsible for multiple tours and club shows across the country, and has worked with top artists including Marshmello, Swedish House Mafia, Calvin Harris and Skrillex, among others.

Internationally, Creamfields has launched editions in Chile, Abu Dhabi, Ibiza, Malta, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Australia, Hong Kong, and multiple cities in China.

"With Scott's outstanding record managing global brands Cream and Creamfields, this new division is a major advance for Live Nation and for artists and acts in this genre," said Denis Desmond, chairman Live Nation UK and Ireland.

Added Barton, "Electronic music has always been at the heart of what we do. We have a dedicated team who work hard to connect fans to electronic music events across the UK. As the scene continues to grow, the knowledge and experience we have is key to our success."
