Mitch Schneider Promotes Marcee Rondan to Partner and Changes PR Firm's Name from MSO to SRO: Exclusive


"What a difference a letter makes."

That's how longtime music publicist Mitch Schneider opens a press announcement that's more consequential for his long running PR firm that any release he's sent out in the nearly 25 years since he launched the Mitch Schneider Organization.

Effective today (June 5), the firm long known as MSO PR is changing its name to SRO PR following the promotion of e.v.p. Marcee Rondan to partner. In the coming weeks, Schneider/Rondan Organization will begin transistioning its digital assets and social media platforms to the new name reflecting the elevation of the longtime publicist.

“Marcee has been a guiding light at MSO since the company’s inception in 1995, and I’m truly excited to officially welcome her as Partner,” Schneider said in a release provide to Billboard. “She’s been involved in key decisions about the company and its clients as well as overseeing employee policies that have strengthened us. This is all on top of Marcee being a terrific publicist who builds dynamic campaigns for our clients and expertly manages their best interests through the unpredictable scenarios that emerge in this 24/7 business. Her promotion opens a whole new chapter for the company.”

Marcee will continue to work with America, Brian Setzer Orchestra, The Cult, Godsmack, Heart, Ozzy Osbourne, Rickie Lee Jones, the Stray Cats, and the Zappa Family Trust. She also is the publicist for Jay-Z's Made in America Festival, as well as the Ohana festival in Orange County and Exit 111 in Manchester, Tenn.

Rondan first began working with Schneider at Levine/Schneider Public Relations as an intern in 1989 after graduating from the University of California at Irvine. At MSO, she became vp in 1997, svp in 2000 and evp in 2014.

Schneider and Rondan are based in Los Angeles, while Lyndie Wenner heads the SRO's Nashville office. The long running agency's roster of artists, festivals, tours and clients is one of LA's best known music taste-making PR shops. Last month, Music Connection described the company as  “one of the world’s premier public relations firms" with a roster that "includes various styles and genres, superstars, musical legends, festivals, award shows and emerging artists.”
