Eubanks will serve as COO and Hemeon has been named head of design for the music and technology company.

Troy Carter's new music and technology company Q&A has hired Phillip Eubanks as chief operating officer and Marc Hemeon as head of design, the company announced on Wednesday (May 22).

“We are fortunate to welcome innovative forces like Phillip and Marc to the Q&A team,” said Q&A co-founder Carter in a statement. “Both bring an impressive track record working with some of the world’s leading technology companies. Their incredible talent, leadership and strategic vision will continue to accelerate the growth of Q&A.”

Carter, who previously managed Lady Gaga and later worked as global head of creator services at Spotify, co-founded Q&A alongside his former Atom Factory colleagues J. Erving and Suzy Ryoo earlier this year. The company exists to support entrepreneurial artists throughout their careers via an integrated solution that combines distribution, management, label services and data analytics.

Eubanks comes to Q&A from Spotify, where he most recently served as global head of strategy and operations for the creator services division, a position in which he worked closely with Carter.

“I’m incredibly excited to join Q&A and help bring its vision to life at such a crucial point in the evolution of the music industry,” added Eubanks. “Building on the opportunities technology has unlocked for creators, Q&A will provide a new ecosystem for creativity and cultural engagement for many more artist and fans.”

Hemeon is joining Q&A from Facebook AI, where he helped to design and conceptualize emerging products and technologies. He was also a founder and CEO of Design Inc., which helped connect companies with designers.

"Troy is known for pushing the future of music and innovating new and interesting ways to help artists realize their dreams,” said Hemeon. “I'm ecstatic to be joining the Q&A team to help reimagine and build the next generation music company, blending the best of the music world with the best of the tech world.”
