Live Nation & Oak View Group Tapped for New Savannah, Georgia Venue

Live Nation and Oak View Group have been selected by the city of Savannah to consult on the new 9,000-seat multi-purpose arena scheduled to open in the Georgia city in the fall of 2021. Savannah has specifically awarded the two entities a design assistance contract and will provide pre-opening consulting on both design and development of the new arena.

"Oak View Group and Live Nation are two of the most influential companies in live entertainment and we’re fortunate that they will be guiding us through the pre-opening and design phases of our new arena in Savannah," said Savannah city manager Rob Hernandez in a release. "With an experienced team, extensive resources, contacts and knowledge of our industry Oak View Group Facilities and Live Nation will provide tremendous insight to our team which ultimately will bring great pride to our region."

The two companies will work closely with the city and the construction team to provide recommendations on the impact of architectural design and the selection of and the procurement of furniture, fixtures and equipment. The awarding also includes a future lease for the new arena where OVG Facilities and Live Nation could provide management and operations.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Savannah is a thriving market," said OVG Facilities chairman Peter Luukko in a release. "We are excited to partner with Live Nation in bringing our collective resources to Savannah and offering our insight on creating new and exciting opportunities for the entire region."

Oak View Group will also utilize its Global Partners sponsorship division and its Arena Alliance.
