Capital Bra performs in the Maimarkthalle during his tour kick-off on April 13, 2019 in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Mannheim.

Having already set a new all-time record in Germany recently with 1.4 billion streams, rap star Capital Bra today reached No. 1 in the official German album charts with his new hit album CB6. This is already his 14th release to make it to the top of the charts.

The Berlin rapper is currently Germany's most successful musical artist and in recent months has even overtaken records set by international stars, including ABBA (no. 1 singles) and Ed Sheeran (streaming).

"This is now the crowning glory to Capital Bra's impressive success," said Frank Briegmann, president & CEO Universal Music Central Europe and Deutsche Grammophon. "With 1.4 billion plays, he is already the all-time most-streamed artist in Germany, and his new album, which many of his fans have also bought in the physical deluxe box format, has climbed to number 1 in the charts today. Capital Bra is an exceedingly creative artist and is inspiring an ever faster growing community of fans. We are fortunate and very happy to be his partner and to support him in his creativity."
