Christopher Navarro Joins Law Firm Singh, Singh & Trauben as Partner
Christopher Navarro has left Universal Music Latin Entertainment (UMLE) to join Simran A. Singh at the law firm of Singh, Singh & Trauben, LLP as a partner, Billboard has learned.
During his time at UMLE Navarro managed UMLE’s business and legal affairs strategies. He led the negotiations for Luis Fonsi’s “Despacito” collavorations and Beyonce’s participation on J Balvin’s “Mi Gente”.
"UMLE was an amazing place for me to grow and learn the record business," said Navarro in a statement. “It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with some of the brightest minds in the music business and learn from them."
On his new position, Christopher Navarro will work with Simran A. Singh representing artists, producers and executives in Latin and English markets such as Daddy Yankee, Anuel AA, Natti Natasha, the Estate of Selena Quintanilla, Missy Elliott, Tyga, Blueface, Zion & Lennox, Chris Jeday, Gaby Music and Luny Tunes, among others.
“The music business is evolving, and artists are more business savvy than ever with new business models that deviate from traditional practices,” added Simran. “Chris brings a unique set of insights, experience and relationships. We are excited to have him join our firm.”
