John Strazza Joins Columbia Records as Senior VP of Promotion/Head of Rhythm
He will continue to work with RECORDS As head of promotion under the company's joint venture with Sony Music Entertainment.
John Strazza has been named senior vp promotion for Columbia Records and head of promotion for RECORDS. In the new roles, Strazza will lead radio campaigns and initiatives for Columbia's rosters under the Rhythm format, while continuing to oversee promotion for RECORDS projects under the company's joint venture with Sony Music Entertainment. He will be based in the label's New York headquarters.
Strazza joined RECORDS' promotional team in 2016, previously serving as RCA Records' svp promotion. His career began two decades ago at Columbia's radio promo department and he has past experience as vp top 40 radio promo for Jive Records.
"Over the past 2 decades, John has distinguished himself as one of the leading promotion executives in the business," said Ron Perry, Columbia's chairman and CEO in a statement. "On behalf of our entire team, I'd like to congratulate him on joining the company."
