Nashville-based rock band Cage The Elephant have inked a worldwide publishing deal with BMG, ahead of the April 19 release of their fifth studio album Social Cues.

The band, made up of brothers Matt (on vocals) and Brad Shultz (on guitar) along with drummer Jared Champion, bassist Daniel Tichenor, lead guitarist Nick Bockrath and keyboardist Matthan Minster, will also kick of a co-headlining tour with Beck this summer.

"We are happy to welcome BMG to the Cage The Elephant family," says Cliff Burnstein, co-owner of the band's management company Q Prime. "From the first meeting, they demonstrated that they had the expertise and enthusiasm to help elevate the band’s career."

Adds David Hirshland, BMG's executive vp music publishing catalogs: “We are thrilled to be working alongside Cage the Elephant on their ground-breaking new album. Beyond being their publishing partner, we are all huge fans of the band.”

Last month, the band scored its best Alternative Songs airplay chart debut in its near-decade career with the release of "Ready to Let Go," the lead single off Social Cues, when it landed at No. 20.

Cage the Elephant made their self-titled debut in 2008, and have since released three additional studio albums -- 2011’s Thank You, Happy Birthday, the RIAA gold-certified Melophobia and the Grammy award-winning Tell Me I’m Pretty. Their most recent release, the stripped-back live album Unpeeled, arrived in July 2017.
