Capitol Christian Music Group (CCMG) is promoting Brad O'Donnell and Hudson Plachy to co-presidents, the company announces today (Feb. 26).

In their expanded roles, O'Donnell and Plachy will oversee all day-to-day aspects of the Universal Music Group-owned company's creative and financial matters, while continuing to manage its label group -- which includes Hillsong, Sparrow, Motown Gospel and others -- along with its Capitol Christian Publishing division. Based at the company's Nashville headquarters, they will report to Peter York, who recently renewed his contract as CCMG's chairman and CEO.

“Hudson and Brad have consistently exhibited excellence, success, loyalty and faithfulness in their respective areas of responsibility for our company," York says in a release. "They have demonstrated ambitious vision and market leadership, and have worked tirelessly -- along with our amazing team -- to achieve another record year for CCMG. Their promotions are extremely well-deserved, further strengthen our leadership structure and better position it for our industry’s continuing and positive evolution."

While O'Donnell, an 18-year veteran of CCMG who has held A&R leadership positions since joining the company, was previously its chief creative officer, Plachy, who has been at CCMG since 2002 when he was hired as a marketing coordinator, previously served as chief marketing officer. Both had a hand in the development of global hip-hop star NF, whose 2017 album Perception debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

CCMG-owned labels also include notable Christian acts like Chris Tomlin, Amy Grant, tobyMac, Tasha Cobbs, Jeremy Camp, Hillsong United, Matt Redman, Mandisa, Tye Tribbett, Crowder, Passion Band and Kari Jobe on their rosters. On the publishing side, CCMG represents leading Christian and gospel writers like David Garcia, who co-penned Bebe Rexha's smash hit “Meant to Be” featuring Florida Georgia Line.

CCMG is a division of Capitol Music Group, led by chairman and CEO Steve Barnett. “With Peter continuing to oversee the company at a strategic and leadership development level, and Brad and Hudson taking the day-to-day reins, CCMG is poised for even greater growth from its position as market leader," Barnett adds. "Last year was the company’s best since 2000, and CCMG becomes even more vital to CMG’s overall success with each passing year. Everyone in the Tower joins me in congratulating Brad and Hudson on their well-deserved promotions, and we thank Peter for continuing to demonstrate exemplary leadership.”
