Apple Music's Zane Lowe to Keynote 2019 Music Biz Conference

The Music Business Association (Music Biz) announced on Wednesday (Jan. 30) that Zane Lowe will give a keynote at the 2019 Music Biz Conference. The Grammy-nominated producer is the global head of artist relations at Apple Music and host of its Beats 1 livestream.

"It is a huge honor to welcome Zane Lowe to this year’s Conference program," said James Donio, Music Biz president. "He is one of the most influential names in the broadcast industry today, and his vision and insight will be of great interest to our audience."

The interview with Lowe will take place on Sunday, May 5 at 5 p.m.

Previously announced speakers include Derrick Aroh the vp of A&R at RCA Records, Mitch Glazier the chairman and CEO of the Recording Industry Association of America, Joe Conyers III the co-founder and general manager of Songtrust, and Paul Rosenberg the CEO of Def Jam Recordings.

At the Music Biz Awards & Hall of Fame Dinner, taking place on May 7, honorees will include Bebe Rexha and Kane Brown (Breakthrough Artist Awards) and Record Archive owners Richard Storms and Alayna Alderman (Independent Spirit Award), among others.

The Music Biz Conference will take place May 5-8 at the JW Marriott in Nashville. The organization has also released the preliminary agenda and program for this year's conference. See it here.
