BMG and its Bertelsmann sister print company Gruner + Jahr in Hamburg will launch a one-off magazine about German pop singer Max Giesinger to coincide with the start of his latest tour.

Giesinger has been with BMG since 2016, when the company released his first platinum album Der Junge, der rennt, which yielded one of the biggest German radio hits of the same year, "80 Millionen." The song evolved into the unofficial anthem for the German football team in the European Championship 2016. The artist's latest album Die Reise (2018) entered the German album charts at No. 2.

Both BMG and Gruner + Jahr are subsidiaries of media giant Bertelsmann. The magazine will be out Feb. 14 with a print run of 75,000 copies. In addition, the mag will be available for sale at kiosks in Germany for three months.

Titled "Max Giesinger -- Meine Reise" ("Max Giesinger -- My journey"), the magazine includes stories and photos about the artist's roots, career and passion for music, put together by an editorial team that accompanied Giesinger for several weeks.

"I never once thought that there would be a magazine completely about my life," Giesinger said. "To me, this is a great keep-sake of all the great memories I've had in recent years. I will definitely be proud to show this to my kids someday."

Said Dominique Kulling, managing director BMG GSA in Berlin: "It is very important for us to jointly develop creative ideas and campaigns with our clients – be it in publishing, recordings, audiovisual, books or with our very first magazine. Max does not only impress with his music, but also with his open, charismatic personality - thus a fan magazine was an obvious step. With our Bertelsmann sister Gruner + Jahr, we have the best partner for this and are delighted that the collaboration between our teams has created such a special magazine."

BMG's publishing roster includes Ringo Starr, Yusuf/Cat Stevens, Bebe Rexha, Poo Bear, Alice Merton, Bruno Mars. On the recording side, BMG's artists include Jason Aldean, Keith Richards, Lenny Kravitz, Avril Lavigne, Kylie Minogue and Lil Dicky. Books include "Dreaming of Dylan", "Johnny Cash at Folsom and San Quentin", "The "Odessey": The Zombies in Words and Images.'"
