Former Republic Group president Charlie Walk is consulting for UnitedMasters, the music startup's founder Steve Stoute tells Billboard.
UnitedMasters, a new artist-services startup which Stoute announced in November 2017 with $70 million in funding from Alphabet, 21st Century Fox and Andreessen Horowitz, among others, rolled out its new digital distribution service in July, and has been searching for a president to lead the company under Stoute, CEO, and Kristina Salen, CFO/COO of UM's parent company, Translation.
Walk exited Republic in March following sexual misconduct allegations that he repeatedly denied. He also left his role as a host on Fox music competition TV show The Four. Since then, Walk has been consulting for others in the music industry as well, sources tell Billboard.
