Moe Shalizi, the long-time manager of Marshmello and Billboard's Dance 2018 Executive of the Year, has departed from Red Light Management to form his own management firm. First reported by Billboard last month, the Shalizi Group will represent Marshmello, Jauz, Sikdope, Southside of 808 Mafia, Sumr Camp, Ookay, Slushii and Ghastly.

Shalizi described his four year run at Red Light as "nothing short of amazing," and said Red Light chief executive Coran Capshaw and chief operating officer Bruce Eskowitz "have both been extremely supportive of my decision. I just got to a place where I had a vision that required me to go on my own in order to make it happen."

Eskowitz returned the favor and said "We congratulate him on his success, and we look forward to working with Moe on other projects in the future."

Marshmello was one of the biggest musical artists of 2018 and his current single "Happier" featuring Bastille has hit 1 Billion streams worldwide. Marshmello won his first American Music Award for "Best Electronic Artist" at the 2018 AMAs.

The agency will be based in Los Angeles with a staff of 12. For further information, visit theshalizigroup.com.
