Apple has acquired London-based creative services firm Platoon, Billboard has confirmed. The company was founded in 2016 by music industry veteran Denzyl Feigelson and LoveFilm co-founder Saul Klein, going on to help develop breakout acts such as Billie Eilish, Stefflon Don and Jorja Smith.

The firm has also worked with clients including Rex Orange County, Jacob Banks, Mr Eazi, YEBBA and Isaac Dunbar among others.

Feigelson has 15 years experience with Apple under his belt prior to launching Platoon, serving as a member of the iTunes team at its inception and continuing to advise on music and live event projects. He was also the original founder of Artists Without A Label, which evolved into Kobalt's AWAL music services company.

According to Music Business Worldwide, Feigelson will lead Platoon's team of 12 full-time employees from its Tileyard headquarters in London's King's Cross area, where it has two recording studios. The firm will continue to work with artists supporting touring, original content, social media marketing and global growth with its suite of video, audio and marketing services.
