Facebook exec Jess Keeley-Carter is leaving the social media giant for Warner Music Group.

With effect from Jan. 14, Keeley-Carter becomes senior vice president of global digital marketing, recorded music for WMG in London, where she’ll be welcomed into the group’s central team of marketers to develop innovative, cross-territory strategies for the music major’s roster.

“Jess is one of the most forward-thinking, creative young execs at the intersection of entertainment and tech. She has genuine insight into how fans share, influence, and evangelize so that great music cascades across the globe,” said Jeremy Marsh, the recently-promoted chief global marketing officer, recorded music at WMG, to whom she reports.

“In today’s environment," Marsh adds, "it’s essential that we take a worldwide view of an artist’s career from day one. Jess will be an invaluable addition to our talented central marketing team, which is a powerful catalyst in igniting the passions of fans everywhere.”

At Facebook, Keeley-Carter oversaw label partnerships for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Before that, she worked with Universal Music Group for eight years in key digital posts, both in the U.K. and Australia.
