Festival goers attend Firefly Music Festival at The Woodlands on June 20, 2014 in Dover, Del.

The East Coast festival will return to a three day model

Delaware’s Firefly Music Festival will return to a three-day model in 2019 and take place June 21-23 at The Woodlands of Dover International Speedway for its eighth year.

After engaging fans for feedback, festival organizers decided to change from four to three days and promise a streamlined schedule. The plan is to feature more artists over the three days, which they determined was easier for most fans to attend.

To accommodate fans over three days, Firefly will allow early entry for all the campers on Thursday (June 20) and departure on Monday (June 24).

Firefly has yet to announce artists for the 2019 lineup. This summer the festival boasted headliners such as Arctic Monkeys, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and The Killers.

For 2019, the event is also launching its Firefly Loyalty Program that rewards returning fans with the first chance at festival passes, exclusive pricing and other surprises along the way. Fans who have previously purchased or registered a wristband for Firefly qualify and will receive a unique code via email that will allow them access to the Loyalty Presale on Nov. 16. During that 24-hour period, general admission and VIP passes can be purchased at special prices.

Additional details on where to stay, including upgraded camping, expanded glamping and new hotel packages, as well as the 2019 artist lineup and slate of exciting new programming will be released soon.
