AEG Opens Verti Music Hall with Help From Jack White.

White played to the maximum crowd for Verti Music Hall’s debut

On Oct. 12, Jack White opened AEG’s newest venue in Berlin, Verti Music Hall. The 4,350-capacity German venue was at maximum attendance as crowds got their first taste of one of the anchor establishments of Mercedes Platz.

“We have spent a lot of time and resources during the planning and construction phase to ensure perfect sightlines and optimal sound, as well as the greatest possible flexibility for capacity, seating and different types of events,” said Michael Hapka, vice president and managing director AEG Operations GmbH, in a release.

AEG expects to hold more than 100 events per year at Verti Music Hall since it has the flexibility to rig more than 200 tons. The intimate venue also compliments the neighboring Mercedes-Benz Arena, which is also owned and operated by AEG.

“The interior of the Music Hall is intimate and high-end in appearance, while the outer concourses have a more urban, industrial style. Verti Music Hall will enrich the Berlin venue landscape, for concert goers as well as for promoters and performing artists,” Hapka added.

Together with the Verti Music Hall the Mercedes Platz project will feature a state-of-the-art UCI Luxe movie theater with 1.700 Seats, a lifestyle bowling lounge by Bowling World with 28 lanes, 20 cafes, restaurants and bars as well as two hotels – an Indigo Design hotel with about 118 rooms and a Hampton by Hilton hotel with 254 rooms and 10.000 square meters of office space.

Next up the venue is expecting performances from George Ezra, Manfred Mann’s Earth Band, Marshmello and more.
