Today (Oct. 11), President Donald Trump will sign the Music Modernization Act into law, a historic piece of legislation that is the culmination of years of advocacy on Capitol Hill that represents the biggest overhaul of copyright legislation in a generation.

The President is expected to sign the bill at 11:45 EST today, alongside the likes of Kanye West, Kid Rock and a small handful of music-industry advocates. (Update: Despite being at the White House, West did not appear at the bill signing.) Mike Love, Sam Moore, MercyMe, John Rich and others were also in attendance.
