The House of Blues is joining the anti-plastic straw movement and eliminating plastic straws from all U.S. locations.

Parent company Live Nation has already enacted a straw-by-request policy at all 52 Live Nation owned and operated amphitheaters and 50 House of Blues Entertainment venues.

Straws and accessible alternatives are available on-demand to customers who might require them.

The announcement is being made in partnership with environmental group Lonely Whale and is on track to eliminate the use of over 6 million plastic straws in 2018.
