Executive Turntable: Moves at RCA Records, INgrooves, Mom + Pop & More
RCA Records President David Dollimore announced the promotions of James Bass and Sarah Hall to head of playlisting and head of publicity, respectively, on Wednesday (Aug. 8).
Bass, who joined RCA in 2013 as senior national radio plugger, said, “I am very excited that RCA have given me the opportunity to take promotions in a new direction. Working with RCA’s strong and diverse roster, both domestic and international, I look forward to leading the charge for streaming and radio.”
Of her promotion, two-time best PR campaign nominee Hall said, “It’s a real pleasure to work with the brilliant team at RCA. I am looking forward to leading the RCA publicity department through the ever evolving media landscape and delivering stellar campaigns for our artists.”

On Monday (Aug. 6), Ingrooves announced the appointments of five new employees to its strategic marketing and label development divisions: Alex Montes-Flores, Meka Udoh, Sheneza Mohammed, Joshua Hedglin and Emmy Buckingham.

Montes-Flores will oversee the company’s Latin, Caribbean and Reggae label roster as senior manager, Latin label development. Udoh, co-founder of the hip-hop website 2DopeBoyz, will take over as manager, urban marketing. Mohammed, who has experience working with electronic artists, has been named label development manager and will oversee a diverse roster of label partners, while electronic music expert Hedglin will focus solely on Ingrooves’ UK & European dance and electronic labels as manager, label and business development. Also joining as manager, label and business development will be the respected independent music veteran Buckingham.
The business-to-business digital music and radio services company 7digital announced Monday (Aug. 6) the promotion of Stacey Mitsopulos to the position of director, legal, business affairs and music partnerships. She previously held the role of head of legal and business affairs.
Before joining 7digital, Mitsopulos was director, commercial and business affairs at The Box Plus Network -- a leading U.K.-based music television network. She also spent time as the president, business and legal affairs at DHX Media in Toronto.

Mom + Pop Music, which will celebrating 10 years in the music business this coming fall, has announced the promotion of David Jacobs to the position of GM, West Coast. He has been with the label since October of 2015, when he was hired as vp, radio promotion.
Jacobs said, “I am thrilled to expand my role at Mom + Pop and help the label plant roots on the West Coast. I cannot thank Goldie and Thaddeus enough for this opportunity, and I am so excited to see what new heights this great team can take Mom + Pop to in the coming years.”
