City of Hope -- the renowned independent cancer research and treatment center -- has announced a number of presenters and honorees that will be in attendance at its annual Songs of Hope event, which celebrates songs and songwriters. In addition to the star-studded lineup that was announced, producer Jimmy Jam -- also a Legendary Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee -- will return to his role as master of ceremonies.

The songwriters being honored include prolific hit-makers Benny Blanco and Mike Will Made-It, who will be presented with Clive Davis’s Legend in Songwriting award by the famed music executive and record producer himself, as well as Sarah Aarons -- the recipient of the Vanguard Award, presented by the CEO and chairman of Sony/ATV Music Publishing Martin Bandier. James Newton Howard will also be presented with the Electronic Arts Composer of the Year Award by Songs of Hope co-chair and Electronic Arts president of music, Steve Schnur.

Stephen J. Forman, M.D., an international expert in leukemia, lymphoma and bone marrow transplantation, will be honored with the Songs of Hope Beverly and Ben Horowitz by Zach Horowitz. This award also comes with a $100,000 donation to support Forman’s research and team.

Schnur said, "For 14 years, Songs of Hope has brought our industry together for an evening of music that is literally lifesaving. And thanks to the ongoing support of friends and colleagues, our shared commitment to City of Hope’s vital mission is stronger than ever. This year, my co-chairs David, Doug, Evan and I invite you to join what will be an event that redefines respect, compassion and celebration."

Several other entertainment sponsors -- including Universal Music Publishing Group, Spotify and Warner/Chappell Music -- will be giving awards, but have yet to announce the recipients and honorees.

Songs of Hope XIV will be held on September 13 in Sherman Oaks, California at the residence of Alex da Kid.
