Having previously worked as president of music, her purview will now include such non-music sectors as TV, film, social good, technology, lifestyle and more.

SB Projects has promoted Allison Kaye to president, it was announced Tuesday (July 31).

Kaye has been elevated from president of music, where she oversaw the company's day-to-day music business, including artist management, its in-house record label Schoolboy Records and the Sheba Publishing joint venture with Universal Music Group Publishing.

In her new role, Kaye's purview expands to include such non-music work as TV, film, social good, technology, lifestyle and more, helping company founder Scooter Braun to oversee all the company's properties. Kaye will also continue to oversee day-to-day management of SB Project's major acts, such as Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.

Since Kaye joined SB Projects as its first employee in 2007, she has helped lead the team behind last year's One Love Manchester Event, following the terrorist attack at a Grande concert; executive produced Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief, which raised over $64 million for those affected by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria; and helped organize the chart-topping remix of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito" with Bieber. She was promoted to president of music in 2016 and has been named in Billboard's annual Women in Music issue for the past four years in a row.

With Kaye's promotion, Jen McDaniel is joining SB Projects as general manager of music and will oversee the day-to-day managers who handle SB Projects artists. McDaniel will be day-to-day on all aspects of SB Project’s music-specific business with Braun and Kaye's oversight.

McDaniel has spent over 20 years in the music industry and previously worked as label marketing executive at EMI and Virgin Records and an independent brand consultant.
