Live Nation has announced the hiring of Steve Ackles as senior director of touring and Anna Plumley as senior director of marketing on the company’s U.S. touring team.

The two new hires are joining Live Nation from AEG Presents and bring more than 20 years of experience to the company’s touring division.

Ackles will help oversee national stadium and arena tours throughout North America, while Plumley will market a range of artists including tours with new Live Nation partner, Frank Productions. Ackles and Plumley will be based in Los Angeles and will dual report to Omar Al-Joulani, senior vice president of North American Touring, and Ryan McElrath, senior vp of North American Touring.

“With the expansion of our touring team, Live Nation is able to service an even wider breadth of artists and help them cultivate the best live experience for their fans,” said Bob Roux, President of U.S. Concerts in a statement.  “Steve and Anna have already hit the ground running and we’re thrilled to have them on our team.”

Ackles founded the Bay State Group in 2009 and shifted into a concert promoter role in the New England market. In 2011, Ackles became a talent buyer for Bowery Presents at the famed Bowery Electric before joining AEG Presents in 2012.

As manager of touring for AEG Presents, Ackles was responsible for overseeing national tours for artists including A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, Kid Cudi, and Migos, as well as stadium tours for Paul McCartney and Justin Bieber.

Plumley began her career in 2005 with Nederlander Concerts where she managed concerts along with touring Broadway productions. Two years later, Plumley moved to Los Angeles to work at Goldenvoice / AEG Presents as a marketing manager and marketing director.

Plumley dealt with Club Nokia and the Fox Theatre Pomona, managing marketing efforts for nearly 150 concerts per year. She moved to the touring group in 2015 and launched tours for artists including Post Malone, G-Eazy, Alina Baraz, and Hippie Sabotage. She also worked on arena tours for Red Hot Chili Peppers, Katy Perry, ODESZA, Cage The Elephant and Glass Animals.
