Spectra's Brûlée Selected as Met Philly's Food and Beverage Provider
James Beard Award-winning Chef Jean-Marie Lacroix will create the menu for the historic venue.
Live Nation announced today that Spectra-owned Brûlée Catering will be the official food and beverage provider for the renovated Met Philadelphia. The Met Philly, formerly the Philadelphia Opera House, is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar transformation and expected to open later this year.
Brûlée Catering by James Beard Award-winning Chef Jean-Marie Lacroix will create a culinary experience that includes full service dining options and a dynamic beverage program to accompany the live entertainment.
“The Met Philadelphia combines the ultimate in live music, comedy, and variety performances with contemporary dining options and specialty drink selections,” said Geoff Gordon, Live Nation Philadelphia Regional President in a statement.
The venue will feature a full menu and bottle service as part of its in-suite services program. The same amenities will be found at the Grande Salle, an upscale lounge and event space for before, during, and after show entertaining. The Met Philadelphia’s large on-site kitchen will allow the culinary team to execute broad menu options for in-suite catering and orchestra box rentals.
Live Nation and Brûlée are expected to announce additional local celebrity chefs in the coming months.

Met Philadelphia will contain full-service bars on all four floors and offer local craft beers and an array of cocktails.
“Because Brûlée is the exclusive food and beverage provider in a dozen venues across Philadelphia, we have a unique and deep understanding of the market,” Jack O’Brien, vp of Brûlée, said in a statement. “We look forward to working with Live Nation to launch The Met Philadelphia as a top-tier entertainment and event destination, featuring our cuisine and our attention to detail on a variety of menu options, which will include vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes.”
The Brûlée and Live Nation partnership will also bring Brûlée Music & Food Experiences to the historic venue designed in 1908 by Oscar Hammerstein. The experiences fuse extended food and beverage offerings with concert events.
The first of these special events will be held on June 14, 2019 when Derek Hough performs at the Met Philadelphia. Sample menu items may include Utah Scones with whipped honey butter and Brûlée’s spin on Utah’s famous Crown Burger with Fry Sauce as an homage to Hough’s home state; as well as specialty Latin cuisine and artist-themed craft cocktails as a nod to Hough’s career as a former World DanceSport Federation World Latin Champion.
Gordon added: “With Brûlée as our exclusive food and beverage partner, The Met Philadelphia will set a new stage for culinary innovation designed to offer a sensational customer experience where our guests have the option of eating from an unbelievable selection of healthy grab and go items, or they can join us for a first-class dinner before the performance, enjoy drinks during the show, and remain afterward to socialize with friends.”
The Met Philadelphia is now taking reservations for corporate events, private parties, and celebrations.
