Float Fest Announces Full Schedule for Texas Music Festival
The fifth annual music festival features headliners Tame Impala, Bassnectar & Snoop Dogg.
Float Fest in San Marcos, Texas, has announced the full schedule for its two-day event. The festival’s fifth edition will include performances from Bassnectar and Modest Mouse on the Water Stage and Run the Jewels and Lil Wayne on the Sun Stage on Saturday, July 21. Sunday, July 22, headliners include Tame Impala and Snoop Dogg on the Water Stage and Glass Animals and Toadies on the Sun Stage.
Float Fest combines the summer traditions of live music and floating the river in Central Texas with a variety of genres beginning at 2:30 p.m. each day. Attendees can begin tubing as early as 8 a.m. on the San Marcos River before heading to the festival grounds at Cool River Ranch for sets from Cashmere Cat, The Suffers and Press Hall on Saturday or White Denim and Joy Wave on Sunday.
“We’re excited to host some of the nation’s most talented artists and continue shaping our local community as a destination to find a unique festival experience,” said Marcus Federman, founder of Float Fest in a release. “Floating the beautiful river is a Texas tradition, and we’re thrilled to give fans and visitors a chance to experience their favorite music while doing so.”
This year, the festival promises no overlapping sets on its two main stages, so fans have the ability to catch each of the 22 acts performing.
Guests can choose to camp out on site and will be treated to 35 unique local food vendors. Limited VIP and GA tickets are still available at FloatFest.net with separate passes for tubing and additional information on the lineup and schedule.
Each year, Float Fest also organizes a river cleanup project, Keep the River Clean, through partnerships with local businesses. Float Fest cleanup efforts include mesh biodegradable trash bags available for free with tubes for floating, River Wranglers on canoes to help take trash bags, trash receptacles available after tubing at shuttle pick up stations, and the Float Fest crew cleaning up the river before, during, and after the festival with divers and boats to ensure a safe and clean zone.
