Maverick Appoints Meredith Gardner as SVP of Digital

Garnder joins the management firm from Capitol Music.

Maverick has appointed Meredith Gardner to serve as senior vp of the company's digital division where she will lead Maverick's digital team and consult on digital marketing for Maverick’s roster of artists. Gardner will be based in Beverly Hills and report to Greg Thompson, president of Maverick. She previously worked in a similar position at Capitol Music.

Adds Gardner, "I've built my career at the intersection of music and digital media, and I couldn't be more excited for this next step with Maverick. For musicians, digital platforms are more important than ever, and I look forward to helping both Maverick and our suite of artists pursue the best opportunities possible."

Gardner joins Maverick from Capitol Music where she most recently served as senior v.p. of digital marketing and product overseeing the digital division and digital marketing campaigns for Capitol’s artists and has worked with Sam Smith, Beck, Disclosure, Troye Sivan, Niall Horan and Migos as well as Katy Perry on Teenage DreamPrism and Witness. Additionally, Gardner oversaw digital marketing across client rosters for labels including Astralwerks, Blue Note, Harvest, Motown and Virgin. Gardner began her career in 2009 at Capitol Music Group as a coordinator in the digital division.
