Sony Music Nashville Partnering With Budweiser at SXSW for Live Slate Including Elle King, Old Crow
Budweiser is partnering with Sony Music Nashville at this month's South By Southwest confab, the company announced on Thursday. The two entities will bring SXSW attendees a lineup of country artists to Austin's iconic Fair Market on Thursday on March 15.
Budweiser, a longtime supporter of country events including Stagecoach and the CMA Music Festival, will bring country music artists to the SXSW stage such as Grand Ole Opry members Old Crow Medicine Show (Columbia Nashville), three-time Grammy nominee Elle King (RCA Records) and ACM nominated star Kane Brown (RCA Nashville/Zone 4).
"Country music has been an important part of Budweiser for many reasons over the years -- it's part of our DNA as a brand," said Ricardo Marques, vice president of marketing for Budweiser. "We strive to create unique and meaningful experiences for our consumers and our showcase at SXSW is allowing us to do just that."
Sony Music Nashville is equally excited, says executive vp, marketing and new business John Zarling. "We’re looking forward to showcasing some of our most talented artists front-and-center at such an unexpected and innovative forum with SXSW," he said. "From all the support they’ve shown in the past, we know that Budweiser has the same passion for country music as we do, so we’re honored to share the stage with them at SXSW."
The doors of Fair Market in Austin, TX will open at 6:00 p.m. for over a thousand country music fans to witness performances from breakthrough entertainers The Sisterhood Band, Levon, Tenille Townes and Colin Elmore & The Danville Train. Additionally, to keep the music flowing, Dee Jay Silver will be spinning in between acts.
Country Music fans should plan on seeing the iconic Budweiser logo often, as the company will be bringing its famous Bud Country Club to major country music events throughout the spring and summer. The three-level structure is a fan enhancing experience that provides elevated views of the concert stage, surprise meet and greets with artists and elevated consumer activations.
