Songkick, the concert discovery app that was purchased by the Warner Music Group last July, has signed a partnership with Facebook that will integrate concerts and events from Songkick into Facebook and its 2 billion users.
In addition to the Facebook deal, Songkick also announced a new agreement with French retailer FNAC, described by the company as the "largest ticket seller" in France and Belgium. That deal will involve a data-sharing agreement as well as Songkick’s first significant steps into that market.
"We have tapped into Warner’s global infrastructure and existing fan base to accelerate growth and solidify Songkick’s status as the best concert discovery tool in the market," said Tony Harlow, president of Warner’s artist and label services division WEA, in a statement announcing the deals. "We know that Songkick users are highly engaged passionate music fans and we strive to provide them more content, access, and rewards for their enthusiasm.”
