AXS Anywhere now enables purchases, sharing and ticket redemption within the social media network.

Fans can now purchase and redeem tickets to AXS events directly on Facebook. Promoters in select markets using the AEG-owned ticketing system have the option to utilize Facebook tools for event discovery and targeting, part of an expansion of the ticketing company’s partner distribution network AXS Anywhere.

"We're giving our clients more opportunities to get their events in front of customers, whether they're listening to an artist's music or engaging with them via social networks," said Bryan Perez, CEO of AXS, adding that the ticketing company also has integrations with Spotify, Groupon and StubHub.

"Facebook is obviously the pinnacle because of the level of engagement fans have with artists," Perez explained, noting the two-way integration allows tickets to be purchased and redeemed via QR code without leaving the Facebook app, as well as the ability to share and transfer tickets through the app.

"With PDF print-at-home tickets there is a fraud element and you don't know who is actually going to the show," Perez said. "Facebook gives clear visibility to our clients. They get both the power of Facebook as a sales channel and they gain visibility over what's happening with each ticket."

By leveraging the followers and user behavior on a participating artist’s page, AXS Anywhere gives promoters significant data collection opportunities for Facebook's 2 billion registered users.

“This is more than just distribution, it’s about furthering our mission to personalize every aspect of the event going experience and allow fans to get tickets wherever they are,” Perez said.
