Human Rights Campaign Names Live Nation a Leading Employer for LGBTQ
Live Nation earns 100 percent score on the HRC’s 2018 Corporate Equality Index.
Live Nation Entertainment has a perfect score on a national benchmarking survey studying corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality.
Today Live Nation announced it scored 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign’s 2018 Corporate Equality Index, which looks at non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. According to a release from company officials, Live Nation satisfied all of the criteria and earned a designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
“Live music brings together fans of all different backgrounds while also encouraging self-expression, and at Live Nation we do everything we can to promote that same culture of inclusion for our employees,” said Michael Rapino, president and chief executive at Live Nation Entertainment, in a statement. “As the world’s leader in live entertainment, we are proud to empower the LGBTQ community through concerts and career opportunities, and are honored to be recognized by the Human Rights Campaign.”
The 2018 Corporate Equality Index rated 945 businesses with 609 earning top markings, including Apple, Nike, Macys, Pandora, Sirius XM, Sony, Viacom and Walt Disney Co. A complete list can be found here.
This accolade is the latest in a series of third-party acknowledgments for Live Nation, which has also received recognition from the Great Place to Work organization and veteran’s organizations like Got Your 6 and Vet Tix.
