Republic Records' executive vice president Rob Stevenson announced the promotion of Tyler Arnold to vice president of A&R.

In his new post, the New York City-based Arnold will expand his functions on Republic's A&R team, continuing to seek out, sign, develop, and cultivate new talent for the label. He has been responsible for the signing of Republic's breakout performer Post Malone and was integral in bringing Metro Boomin and his Boominati Worldwide label to the company. He will continue to develop new projects with Boomin and Post Malone while expanding his roster.

Arnold first joined Republic in January 2014, where he served as an intern. Five months later, he left Northeastern University to assume a full-time position as an A&R department assistant. He has seen several promotions in his first three years, first to manager in 2015 and then to VP earlier this year.

"Tyler represents the future of A&R. His ear is always to the ground, and once he believes in an artist he remains stedfast in all efforts," Mr. Stevenson commented in a statement. "Working with him as he grows into one of the industry’s foremost executives is a true honor."

"To be working with artists I love at a label I've always been a fan of is still a dream come true for me," Mr. Arnold added in a statement. "Republic has empowered me to trust my instincts and sign forward-thinking and game-changing artists. Rob, Monte and Avery have been amazing mentors to me and I am grateful for their continued support and this incredible opportunity."
