Global retail branding and merchandising company Epic Rights has teamed up with Merch by Amazon program to sell official apparel and cellphone accessories on Amazon. With this partnership, Amazon is currently selling products featuring KISS, Aerosmith, and John Lennon, and anticipates widening the list to David Bowie, Duran Duran, Wham! and Def Leppard, among other artists on their roster.

"Amazon not only provides high quality products but also a trusted user experience," explains Epic Rights CEO Dell Furano in a press release. "By launching artist merchandise on Amazon, we can offer fans the world over a destination for products associated with their favorite bands, while also insuring a seamless purchasing process and reliability of shipping that customers have come to enjoy with Amazon. It’s a great benefit to everyone involved, and adds another engaging layer to the artist’s brand-fan experience."

"E-commerce is an important and growing area of artist merchandise sales, as well as big step to combating rampant online sales of unauthorized product," adds Jesper Poulsen, SVP, Artist Development of Epic Rights. "Today it's critical that we put product where our customer shops rather than expecting them to come to us. Expanding our artists’ stores into Amazon is a natural step for us."

“Epic Rights and Dell Furano’s long-standing relationship with legendary artists, and innovative approach has been renowned in the music industry, stated Ivan Lopez, Head of Strategic Partnerships, Merch by Amazon. "We are excited to work with them and develop incremental opportunity for their artists, while delighting Amazon customers with increased merchandise selection and timeless designs.”
