The non-exclusive deal includes a record label and marketing division; 740 Project also signs pact with Universal Music Publishing Group.

Marketing agency 740 Project has partnered with Capitol Music Group in a non-exclusive alliance, Billboard has learned. The partnership will include a record label (740 Project) as well as a marketing arm serving urban artists signed to the CMG family of labels, among them Motown, Quality Control, Capitol Records and Priority. In addition, 740 Project has signed a joint venture with Universal Music Publishing Group.

In a statement given to Billboard, Capitol Music Group COO Michelle Jubelirer said, “The team at 740 Project has already been involved with a number of CMG projects, and I couldn't be happier that we're taking our working relationships to the next level through this partnership. They are a creative, diligent and hardworking team that brings great value to our labels, artists and projects.”

With a current and past client list that includes Migos, Kevin Gates, Snoop Dogg, Lil Yachty, Lil Uzi Vert and Kiarra, 740 Project is helmed by partners Jesse “Punch” Edwards, Rahim “The Dream” Wright and Charley Greenberg. The firm, whose name was inspired by the famed Manhattan address 740 Park Avenue, inked a distribution/marketing deal with CMG in early 2017 via the Baton Rouge duo Tec & Maine Musik.

Edwards and Wright initially joined forces in 2015 after building a client roster at Atlantic Records. More information about 740 Project is available at http://www.740project.com/.
