Sam Selolwane has been named senior VP of urban promotion at RCA Records. Promoted from her former post as VP of that department, the New York-based Selolwane will continue to report to Geo Bivins, the label’s executive VP of urban promotion.

Selolwane has successfully executed national radio campaigns for a roster that includes Usher, Alicia Keys, Charlie Wilson, Ro James, Khalid, Tinashe and Miguel.

A former radio programming and on-air personality, Selolwane segued into record promotion when she joined Jive/RCA Records/Sony 12 years ago. She was also a 2015 honoree on Billboard’s Top 40 Under 40 power list.

In a statement announcing Selolwane’s promotion, Bivins said, “Sam has grown as an executive and person and is key to the success we have had at radio with artists like Bryson Tiller, Khalid, Goldlink and SZA. Her enthusiasm, tenacity and passion is evident to our radio partners and everyone she works with. I look forward to the next chapter in her career.”
