Atlantic Records Promotes Dionnee Harper & Marsha St. Hubert to SVPs of Urban Marketing

Atlantic Records has announced Dionnee Harper and Marsha St. Hubert as the senior vice presidents of Urban Marketing for Atlantic Records.

“I have literally watched Dionnee and Marsha grow up at this company,” said Atlantic co-chairman & COO Julie Greenwald in a statement. “They have evolved into fantastic marketing executives and two of the most knowledgeable, accomplished and admired people in our business. Like all of us, they are first and foremost music fans, and they work 24/7 with incredible passion and devotion. Dionnee and Marsha have earned the love and respect of their artists and colleagues, and I am thrilled to announce these richly deserved promotions.”

With seasoned experience, the music industry leaders who joined in 2000 and 2004 have contributed greatly to the business through the years. Harper got her start at Elektra Records as an intern for Warner Music Group. From there she climbed the ranks to urban/mixshow promotions department. Following the merge with Atlantic Records, she soon became urban marketing coordinator, then product manager to senior director, leading to her vice president role. With her top position, Harper leads the marketing for the label’s releases with Artist Partner Group working with a collective group of artists like Charlie Puth, Kehlani, and Kevin Gates.

Hubert ventured out to the music business with an internship at IDJ. She then made moves at WMG as an assistant and then as the A&R operations manager. Later she became the product manager of the label’s marketing department working on projects with Wiz Khalifa, Gucci Mane, Missy Elliott and many more successful artists. 

“Dionnee and Marsha know the urban culture and marketplace inside out,” said Atlantic President of Black Music Michael Kyser. “Whether it’s micromanaging an album launch, creating and executing innovative marketing strategies, or guiding an artist on a promo tour, they are the best in the business. They come armed with deep musical knowledge and years of hands-on experience, and it shows in the wide-ranging success of our urban roster, from established artists to brand-new signings. Both executives will continue their tenure at the label’s New York City headquarters.
