Led Zeppelin fans have worked themselves up into a tizzy over rumors that the rockers might reunite ahead of the band’s 50th anniversary next year, thanks in part to a cryptic message on singer Robert Plant’s website that says simply: “Any time now…”
Some are speculating that such a reunion could be staged by AEG Presents, which promoted last year's $160 million-grossing, three-day, two-weekend Desert Trip festival in Indio, California, headlined by classic-rock legends such as The Rolling Stones and Roger Waters.
Gary Tovar, the founder of AEG’s Goldenvoice promotion unit, told The Guardian in an interview last month that “we’d like to bring up the Led [Zeppelin], if you know what I mean,” fueling the rumors even though Tovar is no longer part of the company.
