Executive Turntable: New Hires at Spotify, Apple, Sony/ATV & More

-- New York Public Radio welcomes Shannon Connolly as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Music, of WQXR -- New York’s all classical music station. Her responsibilities include increasing the digital reach and footprint for classical music as well as furthering digital music strategy and audience development. 

-- Ian Holder is appointed Vice President of Creative for Sony/ATV Music. Previously, Holder served as Director of Writer/Publisher Relations at BMI. 

-- Spotify brought in Jack Stephens as the new Creator Partnerships Manager. He will oversee the Fans First campaigns and work with both the UK and Europe company. In addition, Paul Smith joins Spotify as Director, Head of International Licensing. 

-- Matthew Adell, founder of MetaPop and former CEO of Beatport, will join Native Instruments as Chief Digital Officer, where he will be leading new strategies for the company’s online product portfolios. 

-- Apple has gained Product Manager Shiva Rajaraman who formerly worked with YouTube and Spotify. 

-- Euan McLeod will head the Internet video engineering team at Comcast. He will be responsible for Comcast VIPER team that work with design, development and deployment of software that distributes internet-based videos across media platforms. 

-- Sam Toles was named Senior Vice President of Digital and New Platforms for MGM. Coming from Vimeo, Toles will be a great asset in implementing new internet-video content.       

-- Amazon has hired Michael Aragon as their new Vice President of Content for their social-video and game-broadcasting company, Twitch.
