-- SoundCloud appointed Merritt Farren as its new general counsel, responsible for leading the streaming platform's team of legal experts across the areas of data protection and privacy, commercial contracts, music rights, copyright issues and corporate matters. Farren arrives from Amazon's Audible. 

-- Spirit Music Group has appointed Angie Maggini as Vice President, Film & Television.

-- Former EVP of A&R at EMI Music Alex Luke, accepted a newly created position: Global Head of Programming & Content Strategy at Amazon Music.

 -- Rap Radar’s Elliot Wilson is TIDAL’s new Editorial Director of Culture & Content (Hip Hop).

-- Kobalt Music Recordings hired Silvia Montello as Senior Vice President, Supply Chain and Client Services. Silvia will oversee both digital and physical supply chains for Kobalt Music Recordings and AWAL (Kobalt’s digital services platform).

-- Vevo recently hired Kevin McGurn as its new Chief Sales Officer. Prior to Vevo, McGurn has worked at Fullscreen, Shazam, and Hulu. 

-- Jason Carter, head of BBC Introducing departs after 20 years to take on a new role at Amazon (Music). His new position has not yet been announced. 

-- Former UMG exec Mike Rittberg is now Big Machine Label Group’s Chief Marketing Officer
