The ever-optimistic Brown helped Roc Nation broaden its offerings in 2016, launching both Latin and Nashville divisions, partnering with Warner/Chappell and Jesse Frasure for a production venture called Rhythm House and formalizing its relationship with event producer ESM Productions. He also added DJ Khaled to Roc Nation's management roster and T.I., Yo Gotti and Rapsody to its label. The release of J. Cole's 4 Your Eyez Only, which moved 729,000 equivalent units in five weeks, and Rihanna's Anti, the fourth-biggest album of 2016, bookended a successful year for the label side, too. "We want to be able to offer everything in-house," says Brown. "What makes us do a deal with somebody is [finding] people who inspire us and remind us of ourselves. We always stay true to who we are."
