European indie powerhouse !K7 is boosting its presence in the neo-classical space with the launch of 7K!.

The new platform comprises a record label, label services collective, synch and artist management division and represents a big push into the genre. The hub's release schedule kicks off proper in the first quarter of 2017 with multi-instrumentalist Luca D?'Alberto’s album Endless, the first single from which, "Wait For Me," is out now on Spotify.

!K7 has enjoyed success in recent years with neo-classical German trio Brandt Brauer Frick, so a deeper plunge into the genre makes sense, company CEO Horst Weidenmüller explains.

"The reason why we chose to mirror the !K7 brand with 7K! is because this music speaks to the !K7 audience but it is not '!K7' in the strictest sense," says Weidenmüller in a statement. "But 7K! most certainly will mirror the world of !K7 in new classical music as well as in ambient and experimental projects. We want to show our audience that it is the same !K7 dedication and spirit behind the projects, but that it is also something different."

Fans of new-classical music can tune into 7K!'s new digital radio channel neoFM, which will launch Jan. 27 through Berlin broadcaster FluxFM. The 24/7 station promises to program "relaxed and experimental music and soundtracks" and will bow with a live performance featuring D'Alberto and a four-piece ensemble.

7K! will reveal the record labels joining its label services division in the coming months.
