Vevo CEO Erik Huggers announced on Monday that Colleen McCreary has joined the video platform as Chief People Officer, a position that puts her in charge of human resources/people operations around the globe. Huggers said McCreary arrives "as we enter into the next phase of growth and transformation for our business."

McCreary previously managed organizational growth at social video game firm Zynga, where she steered a staffing boom that saw the company go from 130 to 4,000 employees in three years. Since leaving Zynga in 2013, McCreary has worked as a consultant as CEO of CCK Partners. She has also held senior human resources roles at multinational corporations such as EA and Microsoft.

"I'm excited at the opportunity to join Vevo at a time of such enormous growth and change at the company, and in the streaming media landscape," she said. "The company has a strong foundation that I'm excited to build on as we look to create an organization and culture that attracts, retains and optimizes for the industry's best talent."

McCreary's appointment comes a few weeks after Vevo's Chief Revenue Officer Nic Jones announced he was leaving the company after five years.
