Rick Astley

Rick Astley, whose 1987 hit "Never Gonna Give You Up" launched the enduring "Rickrolling" meme, has signed with WME for worldwide representation in all areas.

The British singer is currently playing select cities -- his first U.S. shows since 1989 -- and is slated to release a new album, 50, on Oct. 7 via BMG. The album debuted at No. 1 in the U.K. upon its release in July.

Rick Astley Gives Up Avoiding America, Rolls Back Into L.A. for Comeback Gig

Astley, who was 21 when “Never Gonna Give You Up” hit the top of the charts in 16 countries, ostensibly retired from music in 1993, but thanks in part to the "Rickrolling" phenomenon, has been steadily making a comeback over the last decade.

He kicks off a U.K. tour in March 2017 in Manchester.
