When Apple Music gets a redesign this fall as part of the wider iOS 10 rollout, users will have the option to view song lyrics while they listen. That seemingly Herculean task is going to take a team of lyrics curators and a detail-obsessed manager to oversee them. Enter: You.
As spotted by MBW, Apple has just posted a new job listing for a "Lyrics Curation Manager" out of its Santa Clara Valley office. Aside from needing to be a "flexible individual" with "strong analytical skills" and a proficiency in Excel, the qualifications note that experience with lyrics would be a major plus. Apple was looking for lyrics curators in June.
"We’re looking for a manager to lead a team of lyrics curators with excellent writing skills, music knowledge, and attention to detail," the job post says. "Passion for technology and a will to question the current workflows with the mindset to improve tools and processes. General understanding, love, and ideally, experience in writing lyrics."
