Messina Touring Group, Behind Swift's 1989 Tour, Restructures and Promotes From Within After Record Year

Coming off the most successful year in its history, including producing four of the world's highest grossing concert tours in 2015 in Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church and Ed Sheeran, Messina Touring Group (MTG) founder Louis Messina will announce soon a re-organization of the company's management structure.

Messina has now created a new executive team to lead MTG that will allow Messina more time and freedom to work on creative endeavors with artists. To this end, Messina has promoted longtime colleagues Mike Dugan to president, Rome McMahon and Kate McMahon to executive vice president positions; and both Bridget Bauer and Sara Winter to senior vp positions, all effective immediately.

"Mike, Rome, Kate, Bridget and Sara have been making this company great for years -- decades in some cases," says Messina. "I'm so proud of everyone and these promotions are well deserved."

Each has been a key member of the Messina Touring Group and played important roles in the success that made 2015 a record year. MTG reported Boxscore grosses totaling $394,710,827, with 4,260,011 tickets sold to 197 shows.

Dugan and Winter worked on Taylor Swift's 1989 World Tour (the highest-grossing tour of the year at $217 million, according to Billboard Boxscore). The McMahons helped guide Kenny Chesney's The Big Revival run of stadiums (No. 5 for 2015 at $114 million). Bauer oversaw Eric Church's 2014-2015 The Outsiders World Tour (which reported $43,214,539 in gross to 76 shows that drew 898,216.

Ed Sheeran's MTG-promoted tour grossed nearly $50 million in 2015, according to Boxscore, and led Sheeran to winning the Breakthrough award at the 2015 Billboard Touring Awards. Together, Kate McMahon and Bauer guided the launch of George Strait's T-Mobile Arena exclusive engagements, in which all eight shows are sellouts including two shows already announced for 2017.
