Additional acts include Jazmine Sullivan, SWV & Black Alley Band; second annual radio concert series kicks off Nov. 28.

Jill Scott, Babyface, Tyrese and New Edition will headline the second annual Holiday Jam radio concert series. Presented by Live Nation, the four-date series launches on Nov. 28 at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center in association with local iHeartMedia urban AC station WDAS-FM.

“I’m really geeked,” says Scott of this year’s lineup. “We’re all going to put our hearts into this. R&B is alive and kicking; it’s going to continue to morph. You can’t kill R&B. You can try, but it will seep right back in.”

In addition to Scott, New Edition and Tyrese, the Nov. 28 bill includes SWV and Jazmine Sullivan. Black Alley Band will join Scott, Babyface and New Edition on Dec. 3 at Washington, D.C.’s Verizon Center. Then Scott, New Edition and Babyface will headline the last two dates on the 2015 Holiday Jam circuit: Dec. 4 in Hampton, Va., and Dec. 12 in Detroit. (Check out all the dates at LiveNation.com.)

Holiday Jam began as a sold-out show in Philadelphia last year, featuring Scott, Kem and Ledisi, among others. In addition to iHeartMedia, additional partners include Soul Train Music and Radio One. Maverick Management partner Shawn Gee created the series in collaboration with Live Nation Philadelphia regional president Geoff Gordon.

“The vision,” says Gee, “is to expand to 12-15 markets, creating a platform that showcases R&B superstars and at the same time gives much needed exposure to emerging acts in the space.”
