Pitbull is going to executive produce a TV drama that will bear his name (kind of).

We’re talking about 305, the Miami-based dramatic series that Fox has committed to with Pitbull (real name Armando Christian Perez aka Mr. 305) as executive producer. Directed by Jonathan Levine and written by Sascha Penn (Power), 305 will follow Willy, a teenager who transfers to a wealthy Miami private school and moves in with his celebrity chef uncle as he tries to adapt to family changes and his new wealth.

Fox bought the script from Endemol Shine Studios, according to reports.

Pitbull, of course, has had many forays into television. He’ll appear in this season of Empire, he’s hosted the AMAs and he’s been hosting Fox’s New Year’s specials for the past couple of years. Last year, the Weinstein Company also announced it would feature him on two reality TV series.
