Jean Michel Jarre speaks at Midem 2014

There’s a new set of dates for next year’s Midem, the annual music business conference held in Cannes, France. The event, which will mark its 50th anniversary, has been bumped up to June 7-10, 2016 instead of the previously announced June 28-July 1. Midem's director said the change was possible after they were able to iron out a conflict with another festival in town.

Midem 2015 Highlights

"It is a pleasure to be able to confirm that the next Midem will take place at the beginning of June 2016,” said Jérôme Delhaye. “This was always our preferred date but the popularity of the Palais des Festivals means that finding available slots to hold events can be challenging. We are delighted that together with the Palais des Festivals we have found a solution."

Delhaye recently took over at Midem from previous director Bruno Crolot, who announced his departure from that position in late July.
